hot beverages


A traditional latte made all the better because it is sweetened with Pure Via sweetener and uses reduced fat milk to save calories. Almond extract provides a nice change of taste.

Makes 4 servings

2 cups (500 mL) strong hot espresso coffee
2 packets Pure Via sweetener
2 cups (500 mL) 1% lowfat milk*, heated
1- ½ teaspoons (7 mL) almond extract

    Whisk coffee and Pure Via sweetener in a 2-cup (500 mL) glass measuring cup until blended. Divide mixture evenly between 4 small mugs.
    Whisk heated milk and extract in the same glass measure until frothy. Evenly spoon milk onto top of each mug of coffee and serve.

    * Plain soy milk may be substituted for the milk.
    VARIATION: Other flavor lattes can easily be made using various flavors of extracts such as rum, peppermint or vanilla.
