How can anyone resist freshly baked scones? These are easy to make, colorful and use Pure Via sweetener to help reduce calories.

Servings
Makes 6 scones

Ingredients
Cooking spray
1 cup (250 mL) heart smart baking mix
1/2 cup (125 mL) uncooked old fashioned oats
1/2 cup (125 mL) nonfat milk
1/3 cup (75 mL) dried cranberries
9 packets Pure Via sweetener
2 tablespoons (30 mL) butter, melted
2 teaspoons (10 mL) grated orange peel
1 teaspoon (5 mL) vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoons (2 mL) baking powder
1/2 teaspoon (2 mL) ground cinnamon

Directions
    Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray; set aside.

    Combine all ingredients in medium bowl; mix well.

    Portion dough into 6 mounds on prepared cookie sheet, using scant 1/3 cup (75 mL) measure. Spread slightly to even out dough.

    Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly brown at edge. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet. Remove to wire rack and cool slightly. Serve warm.
